Get ready for some potentially out-of-this-world news this week! The U.S. government might finally shed some light on the enduring mystery of UFOs.
This Wednesday (July 26), the U.S. House of Representatives is going to sit down and listen to three people who have some pretty wild stories to tell about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, or UAP for short. This is a fancy term that doesn’t just cover your standard UFOs, but also includes any strange crafts or weird happenings spotted underwater or in the vastness of space.
Our hosts for this intriguing chat are the folks over at the House’s Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs. They’ve invited some former military and intelligence personnel who say they’ve bumped into some pretty strange things – crafts that don’t play by our understanding of physics or even hints of “non-human intelligence.”
For those curious souls out there, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee is going to livestream this event on YouTube, kicking off at 10 a.m. EDT (1400 GMT) this Wednesday (July 26). So, grab your popcorn and get ready for a deep dive into the unknown.
The lineup for Wednesday’s session includes two ex-Navy aviators, Ryan Graves and David Fravor. Both have been in the headlines before, sharing their encounters with aircraft that didn’t seem to play by our earthly rules.
Joining them will be David Grusch. This guy is quite the talk of the town after a recent report where he claimed to have inside scoop on “deeply secretive programs that apparently have crafts not from our world.” Grusch’s words might sound outlandish, but they’ve piqued the interest of big-name news organizations and even U.S. politicians.
Some U.S. Congress members have hinted that there could be a treasure trove of hidden UFO/UAP knowledge. “The folks at the Pentagon and Washington bureaucrats have been sitting on this stuff for ages, and it’s high time we pulled back the curtain,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) said. “We’re bringing in people who can share their stories in public because the American people deserve to know what’s going on. No more hide-and-seek.”
Graves, who has been shouting from the rooftops about the need to take the UAP issue seriously, especially when it comes to our airspace safety, calls these mysteries a “burning national security issue” that need more scientific eyes on them. “If UAP are the toys of foreign powers, we need to respond. If they keep defying explanation, we need to pour more into research,” Graves said.
This gathering in Congress is the latest chapter in a fascinating tale involving UFOs/UAP and Uncle Sam. About a year ago, the Department of Defense set up the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), tasked with sifting through all UFO-related data the military and intelligence guys can get their hands on.
Back in April 2023, the head of AARO said they hadn’t found any solid proof of aliens, off-world tech, or objects breaking the laws of physics. But that seems to clash with what the witnesses are going to share this Wednesday.
Meanwhile, NASA has been doing its own digging with its independent UAP study group. They’ve just held a public meeting, and we should expect a report from them soon. So, buckle up! It looks like we’re in for quite a ride.
